Two things that are free permanently, not just now
These are not introductory terms. They follow from how the product is built.
No payment fees, because we hold no payments
There is no payment gateway in this product and there is not going to be. She pays you by UPI or in cash at your door, and it never passes through us — so there is no fee to charge, nothing to settle, and no payout to wait for.
“So you will charge me later.”
Probably, yes. Here is exactly how that will go.
- It will be a small monthly fee for the software. We are aiming at around a thousand rupees a month once the product has proved it saves you more than that. We have not fixed it, and quoting you a number we have not tested would be worth nothing.
- You will get at least thirty days’ notice. Not a notification the day it happens.
- Nothing starts charging automatically. You will not wake up to a bill because a free period ended quietly.
- If you say no, you take your data and go. Orders, customers and products to a spreadsheet, and no notice period to serve.
- The one thing that could ever cost per message is SMS, and today nothing uses it — messages open your own WhatsApp, which costs nothing. If SMS is ever switched on it will be priced openly, because at two messages an order it runs to about a thousand rupees a month on its own.
